Raised in a musical family in the Ukraine, Alex had a passion for music since the age of 5, when he learned to play the first notes on the piano.
Growing up, Alex drew his inspiration from the classical giants and worked hard to master the piano. His first live performance in front of a large audience was at age 10 at a large music conservatory in his home town.
Alex then moved to Israel to discover the Western way of life for the first time. It was simply overwhelming! MTV was blown to full volume and Alex quickly adapted to the new soundscape and began his musical journey into the music most of you were raised upon.
He then picked an acoustic guitar and learned how to play it from scratch. These were the rock & metal years, mostly spent on listening to dudes that looked like ladies.
Since 1994 Alex learned to operate a PC with a MIDI keyboard to make it sound cool. As the years went by and home-computer studio setup became more accessible, Alex has spent much time mastering the art of electonic music. He is influenced by such acts as Massive Attack, Royksopp, Air, Zero 7, and Thievery Corporation; the more acoustic Hooverphonic, Jamiroquai, Sigur Ros and many others...
Broadening and developing his skill and musical taste all the time, Alex is currently working on his LP called "One". It's his own fresh look on modern electronica. From lofi glitch and clicks, through AIR-like rhodes, guitars and synths, downtempo vinyl and electronic grooves with symphonic layers - Alex is attempting to create an unforgettable experience for the listener, combining the familiar with the unknown, the genuine with the artificial. Whether he succeeds - you be the judge! |
